“LIVING AMONG DIFFERENT RACES”
Malaysia
is rich with cultural and multi-racial society, as people who live in a country
which has a variety of races such as Malay Chinese Indian and others. In
Malaysia we are free to practice their respective religions, other than that we
also need to respect the customs of the people in Malaysia, there are numerous
types of traditional games, such as the five stones Takraw Malay, Chinese yo-yo mah-jong chinese, kho-kho chaturang Indians.
Beside
that, there are some kinds of traditional dances such as Mak Yong dance Zapin
dance of the Malay race, dragon dance fan dance of the Chinese race, Bharatanatyam
dance Bhangara dance of the India race and there are also various types of
traditional games and traditional dances of other races such as the dance and
much more.
After that, Malaysia also has different kinds of traditional food by
different races. For example, Malaysian race had their original traditional
food that called ‘Nasi Lemak ‘, and it tasted very great and very tasty. Indian
also have their own traditional foods such as ‘Roti Canai’, ‘Chapatti , and
much more . The good thing of Indian food is because the curry of their food
was very hot but delicious. As I remembered, Chinese race also have a good
traditional food like ‘Char Kuey Tiauw’ , ‘Moon Cake, and more .
Last but not least, Malaysia’s races have their own unique traditional
clothes. As a Malay race, I wore ‘Baju Melayu’ during Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Women also have their own Malay traditional cloth that called ‘Baju Kurung’.
During Deepavali day, the Indian race wore their beautiful traditional clothes
such as Saari and Dhoti. Chinese race also has Sam Fu and Chiong Sam as their
traditional clothes. They usually wear this clothes during special day like
Chinese New Year ceremony.
The conclusion is , I'm very proud to be a citizen of Malaysia as
there are many different races, so we must maintain relationships with other
people and we should respect each other friendly and helping to rust race
relations in order to strengthen relationships like Malay word “united we stand,
divided we fall”. I am proud to be able to mix with other people and I
hope the relationship between the races will be better and we will be among the
developing countries that we love Malaysia.
